so my wife and I both agreed to start modifying our diet to a more whole food, none processed, so we made this last night

I picked up some spaghetti squash last night, would have preferred to have made sauce from scratch, but didn't have time, so i found this sauce that has no sugar, filler, paste, etc

I pierced the flesh so it could vent

and threw it into our woodstove

and let it cook for about a hour

after letting it cool for a bit, I cut it in half

and scooped everything out, I saved the seeds to roast with sea salt

I think I could have let it cook a little longer, but it was pretty close to al-dente pasta

we cooked up some sausage and tossed it in the sauce

We have never had spaghetti squash before and was surprised by the taste, it was a slight squash flavor and was almost bland like pasta, we both loved it.

We are going to add this to the garden this year for sure, I paid 11 dollars for that one squash.

Going to make shrimp scampi with it tonight, going to use butter, garlic, lemon, tomatoes, parsley and shrimp, will report back

oh, and it was very filling without the bloated feeling I normally get eating pasta

Looks great K, we grew spaghetti squash for the first time last year, and we are hooked now. The low carb part is great for us, and like you already stated, they taste pretty good!
