as noted on mma.tv , this is not a whole American house solution. its actually more designed for 3rd world users, but it could be enough for a cabin, small room, or emergency backup

the video link above post is when he takes it apart to check the internal compents.

this link he tests the input/output and general review

It seems like a cool little product but it seems very limited. I didn't get a chance to watch the whole vid but I looked at their website and specs for the 1000w unit.

  • Maximum continuous power: 1000 W
  • Peak/Surge power: 2000 W
  • Nominal Battery Input Voltage: 12V
  • AC output voltage: 220-240 V  50Hz (International),  120 V 60 Hz (North America)
  • Output waveform: Pure Sine Wave
  • DC output voltage:  12V DC* 4 ,  5V  USB * 2
  • Efficiency: ~90%
  • No load current (DC mode): <0.5 a="" li="">
  • Photovoltaic charge controller: 12V 30A (PWM)
  • Maximum solar module input: 360W
  • Dimensions: 30.5 cm x 20.0 cm x 6.5 cm ( 12.0 in x 7.9 in x 2.6 in)
  • Net weight:  approx. 2.6 kg

I think you can get better performance for the same amount putting together something off Amazon, here is what we used in my Dad's cabin.

Sunforce 60032 30 Amp Digital Charge Controller $84.18

Handles up to 450w of panels versus 300w

Cobra CPI 1575 1500 Watt 12 Volt DC to 120 Volt AC Power Inverter $116.95

1500w output with a peak of 3000w versus 1000w/2000w

For an extra 19 dollars you can add the remote shut off

we have the control charger and shut off set up next to each other so it's easy to monitor the status of the system before turning on.
