Like literally, don't see how this would work on a large scale due to flight paths

Solar farms have been making headlines lately, and solar power options are gaining in popularity as their efficiency levels improve. But a new photovoltaic solution is going to bring solar farms directly to the skies in order to supercharge that efficiency.

Since cloud coverage creates uncertainty around the effectiveness of solar farms, why not bring the solar cells themselves above the clouds? Using stratospheric balloons, it may be possible to source solar power from the open skies without any kind of environmental interference.

Isn't it bad enough that the upper atmosphere is being influenced by chemtrails (scattering of microscopic aluminum) to alter weather, now the powers that be want to add another human 'hot idea'. And besides KVRs observation about air traffic, what method of electrical transmission will be used? The only wireless electrical transmission I know of is lightning and as far as I know, mankind hasn't figured out how to direct that. Microwave transmissions also have a need to not be interfered with (fries birds?!?). Is any proposed small scale test in the works? And what is so wrong with roof top solar that it can't be what is used? All 'gird' instead of individual powering of (solar) electricity is like deciding to eliminate cars and everyone to instead use buses to get around.

My personal motto - The Home, a peace worth fighting for.

I suspect that they would be tethered much like JLENs was here.  There are threads on here about JLENs.
