invented by a 13 year old girl for a school science project after her mom cut herself chopping kindling, she has since won numerous awards for it

Pretty cool.  What's he going to invent after I bust my knuckles with a hammer???  In all seriousness, I would like to see the blade be more like a cross, so he's creating four pieces of kindling, but maybe that doesn't work.  Maybe one "blade" is the key number.

Probably.  I would think there has to be a reason.  I can't be the first person to have thought of that.  If I were to do it, I would have the second "blade" a couple inches lower, so you get the first cut started before you start the second cut.  But who knows?

I was thinking about this yesterday.  Couldn't you make one of these yourself with an axe head, and some rebar?  You would need to be able to weld, but it seems doable.  Am I missing something?  And please don't ask me to "make it so",   I'm an idea man.  I need someone else to be the "muscle".  And we're not even close to needing a wild card yet.
