I know several have used hughesnet and were not happy with the service at all,

it is something we have been looking at for our land, exede seems to be the best from what I have researched but they are pricey, I'm leaning towards getting a t-mobile phone with unlimited data and using it to tether with, they allow 7 gb for tethering before they starting choking it

interested if anyone has used dishnet though

The following users say thank you to K for this useful post:

thats good to know..

I wish skybeam was an option at my house. but they wont give it to me. they say its full. Its from towers not satellite.

my only options are exede and hughesnet.... so thanks for the info. Thats what my online research showed, but i am glad to have it confirmed.

yea. It is 60 bucks a month for 12 gigs at 12kbs. Then it gets throttled to 1-5kbs unlimited.

Is cricket in your area? 55 a month for 10 gigs of data before they throttle you, 10 extra a month for a hotspot but it's limited to certain types of phones

just came across this

https://4gantennashop.com/

free T-Mobile SIM or use your own, as long as brand new and unused

free 14 day trial

SIM swapping OK, within the restrictions indicated for each plan.

$10 discount, up to Nov 6 only

Card on file needs to autopay reliably, you'll only have a couple of notices and a couple of days to fix any problems, if the plan gets terminated due to something like that then you will lose the discount.

Free Huawei USB modem for a 3 mo. prepay

Add $2.71 for gov fees

………

$35.00 5GB, then unlimited 2G data

tax included

no voice nor texting

no data stash

nice data-only upgrade for people on T- Mobile's $30 Walmart 5GB/100 min. plan

T-Mobile branded tablets and hotspots, any 4G LTE modem that works with T-Mobile

T-Mobile ZTE 915 Hotspot: good for domestic with band 12, not so much for their international roaming, which of course is one of the great things about T Mobile. $40 currently on Best Buy not bad

………

$50.00 10GB/mo

$65.00 20GB

taxes additional

unlimited text and talk

yes data stash 10GB per year

includes unlimited hotspotting, but from phone or 4G LTE modem only

10/20GB plans do not work with Branded tablets or hotspots "because of the GSM/MB billing layout, TMO national sales engineers team are looking to find a work around" no T-Mobile branded tablets, nor hotspots (maybe future, other than ZTE 915 hotspot?)

phone benefits: music streaming, unlimited North American phone calling, Mexico and Canada included.

……

$119.99 normally 60GB

Until Nov 6, 300GB for $109.99 all fees included

no voice calling

any data device or phone

We pay $125 a month for unlimited Verizon 4G cellular data. It works well enough and is kind of fast. We have some lag issues.

We had Exede at the cabin and *always* blew past our 15gb limit early in the month. We paid ~$120 per month for ~20gb a month.

I am trying to get cable run to the house now. Would be a huge win.
