Im increasing my pigies today hopefully in the next few months we can turn this gilt into a sow.

My old barn is almost ready for constructing the pin and nursing areas for the piglets. We have a new meat company in town and their prices are fantastic for processing. I'm hoping to be able to sell more pigs by the half and whole next year. 160 flat rate for pigs up to 275 pounds! and that includes the kill. for the kill gut and split only 60 bucks. the only thing I dont like is they dont scald and shave they only skin... but o well for the price its a solid deal.

crazy how different the prices are around the country, up here they just charge by the hanging weight, the last one we had processed was right around 190 hanging and I think we paid 145 for everything.

What breed are you getting?
