Well, we decided to go for chickens again. This time it's 8 Isa Browns. After researching building a coop and something that would look good but not take a lot of my time to build I decided to buy a structure and change it to fit my needs. I really want to keep food and water inside the coop with enough room for people to walk around, collect eggs, etc. Here are some pictures of the setup...

Small pad set up for the coop that will be delivered.

Coop delivered! Not sure if you all remember but I bought an Amish made shed for my solar equipment for my last house. This is from the same builder.

Interior build out.

ATV that helped move everything around.

Stained!

Fenced in.

The door to the outside.

She wanted all of this. She didn't necessarily want as big or expensive of a coop but I told her the only way we were doing this is if we had the food stored in the coop, if the kids could go in and take care of everything from the inside, and if I didn't have to build it.

I think so. Our 2 year old keeps going into the coop and closing the run door and going into the run itself. Looks like I will need to harden and secure the coop and run from my own family!
