they seem to do being fine in the cold, they actually spend most of the day outside unless they hear me rustling around, felt like someone was watching me yesterday, so I turned around

Good to see they are doing well in the cold. What is the temperature difference between your barn and outside? We lost a chicken the other day -- I think due to natural causes -- so we are down to 6. Their coop isn't nearly as weather resistant as your barn. We are going to rehome them this weekend to folks who have a better set up. With as much as we are traveling away from home pending our eventual move I think we would lose more if there was a freak storm.

it's actually as cold inside as out, I've been leaving the back door open so they can come in and out as they want, they are outside when I get up and outside when it gets dark, I think they are planning a revolt

this is their normal chilling spot, it gets sun first thing in the morning I put a feeding trough there for their hay and a two hundred pound molasses lick next to it, I fill the trough in the morning and put some corn, sweet 16 or grain on their lick as a treat, they drop some hay on the ground and it makes a nice laying area for them

I think Marcos horns are starting to come in

he's such a ham, he likes to lick the camera
