So my dog

woke me up from a serious nap this afternoon wanting out. I get up and groggily open up the side door and let her out. About a minute later I hear her coming back in and she proudly drops this

on my dining room floor! I think she broke his leg because he couldn't run but was scrambling pretty good to get away before I got the aquarium over top of him. Got him outside and put the gun to him.

Please note: I'm not huge on killing stuff I'm not going to eat, but this fella was living under our house for more than a few years and has chewed through wires and cables down there. I draw the line at pests invading my home. Add to the fact that he was obviously pretty injured and if let go would probably have died under the house where I couldn't get to the corpse I feel taking him down was completely justified.

I'm with you on this one, if they leave me alone I leave them alone, but once they start doing damage or attack my animals I can no longer leave them alone

Yep. My biggest concern is that he was gonna kick the bucket under the house and I was going to get rotting animal scent permeating the place I live. Dude was like 5 years old which is a damn good run for a groundhog, so he was getting up there in years too.
