So the rain gods smiled on us today, we ripped off the back t-111 off my dad's cabin, hey, I found my chainsaw! We drilled out the slab to tie the rebar into it.

We did a quick layout of the forms

and used some grade stakes and leveled it out and squared it

rebar and insulation next

we got the insulation down and set up a 2x2 grid of rebar

rebar spacers are the greatest thing since sliced bread

pounded in some short sections into dad's slab and tied the two together

all ready to pour

three hours later the truck showed up

8.5 yards later

we started doing a rough screed

breaking out the bull float

and spent the next couple hours floating it

oh look, it's like Christmas

all set up this morning

today we start framing

Oh wow. I thought this was going to take a long time. Is the pad already cured enough?
