I have 4 batteries for my set...the old clunky ones...but I always have a couple of batteries ready to go at all times which is a plus for bigger projects.

Easier to move than my 16 gallon shop vac...that means I might actually use it...nice.

I have an adapter and 10 foot vacuum hose coming in for the dust collector, going to test that out before I cave on a cordless vac.

I went to Sears today (not too many left) I bought the C3 Drill and Impact driver combo, charger, 2-19.2v Li Ion batteries and a decent carry bag.  On sale for $120 something.

....got home...only 1 battery in the box...went back, they said they would get me a battery...I told them I just made a 50 mile round trip...and that I was going to return it...they gave me a 3rd battery at no charge...wow.

That was nice of them, have you tested the Li on your old tools?

Yeah...ran a bunch of tests...The LI's in the old tools fit and work well...seems to have a bit more power, then again they are newer batteries, also, the LI in the old tools definitely makes them lighter.

The new drill and driver are lighter and pretty much the same in terms of power as the old stuff, not much of a difference there.

The drill is lighter and more compact and has a light...the light is a huge upgrade for me and my old eyes.  Also, the drill has a single twist on the chuck verses there two/counter twist.

The impact driver is pretty much the same size as the old one and not a lot different...also has the light!

Pretty happy with them...hard to get used to them being lighter...will be interesting to see if they hold up as well or as long.
