I agree that press is a nice size and built using the KISS principle.

I'm starting a welding class next week, I'm going to see if we can build it in class if I pay for the material.

Should be ordering some metal today, Newsettler and I are going to throw this thing together Sunday I think. Hessian I am taking a machining class starting in a few weeks. Any feedback on this thread?

I'd wait for the course also. Mine was used and I paid $100 CDN for it.

If I was going to upgrade the only thing I'd want is a digital rpm readout. Digital calipers are always nice also.

Well Newsettler ordered up the material, came out to 149 dollars, a lot cheaper than I expected and that is with double the amount of square tubing because we are going to do the double design.

Price went up to 192.14, forgot I needed stuff for dies. So we picked up some square and round solid, also picked up some 5 inch channel for the bases. Going to modify them so they just rest over the rams and are held on by bolts on the front and back.

For three hundred dollars you could probably make one like this:

notice the air release is just a simple air sprayer attachment, scroll down for better pics of the build

I ordered one of these for air control, figured it would be a better option.
