So you may know my family and I just moved to a small farm. We'd agreed to not start any project until we were "settled" so this weekend I busted my tail (sun up to well after sun down (midnight 1 am) but I got it done over the 3 day weekend! AND it only took about a 1/2 cup of blood (mine and a daughter who stepped on a nail) and one trip to the local clinic for a tetanus shot (me, after taking off my epidermis one a rust nail while taking out aggression with a post hole digger).

Total cost was about $400.00 because I bought some pressure treated wood so I'd never have to build the damn thing again.

There's a before and after (if I am not uploading correctly please let me know and I will correct

The "before" was a patch to get us through until I could build a proper coup. This was an old dog run that we just through some wire over.

We had 8 until today. One was a rooster I finally got rid of. I traded him and $20 for 9 chicks. 1 is a bantam something. 2 barred, 3 buff, a couple RIRs and I can't remember what the others are. :)

I let my kids pick them because I was giving up their pride and joy, Carl. RIP little buddy. Lol
