I saw something similar for fish hooks.  Except you use safety pins instead of a caribener.

Personally I have always used these:

Had a chance to play with these and hated them, though the backside is magnetic as well so you can place them on your toolbox:

I like the idea though as every few years I have to replace the plastic organizers when they get too loose.

Food for thought: if you have an extra striker sitting around you can always re-purpose it doing the same as the carabiner.

Yeah, I think the carabiner is just more reliable. The striker was something I thought of when I read Rancher's comment about a large safety pin:
