the more I'm thinking about it, not sure if that frame is ideal, it is 7.5 across the angles pieces on the sides, if the deck was built over that, not sure is that would be the strongest point to attach the walls

KVR, that is a very valid concern. Can you tell me the cross sectional shape of those angled wings? I can run a a stress analysis on them with one of my engineering softwares. I believe that, if you are interested and because that trailer has such a low base price, a plate can be welded across the hypotenuse of the triangle, on the lower half of the wing, to box them in and prevent buckling of the wings. I'll do some research into the loading that we can anticipate.

thanks @icanreachit going back to look at it tomorrow @roscoe816 made some phone calls, a 2x6 tube steel 24 feet long is 180 dollars, I couldn't even build what's there for double the price, he wanted the axle for a smaller trailer, I'm going to go look at it and measure it again and renegotiate without the axle, I don't want it anyways, I think you are right to just rebuild what the issue is

but you can see in these pics they were bending already from either the weight or the removal of the camper

Yes, as is I'm worried that the base part of that L bracket will buckle. I'm wondering if you would lose too much height by building a 2x6 floor on top of the frame and built on top of that. I'm assuming they are under 22".

As far as purely dead load goes I came up with the following "loose" calculations:

Dead Load

Roof – 18psf – 4:12 roof = 1.054 multiplier – 8x20 base leads to 169sf – 3042lbs

Light-frame wood roof with wood structural panel sheathing and 1/2-inch gypsum board ceiling (2 psf) with asphalt shingle roofing (3 psf)

   - With tar and gravel

Wall – 8psf – (8x2+20x2)x13 = 728sf – 5824lbs

Light-frame 2x4 wood wall with 1/2-inch wood structural panel sheathing and 1/2-inch gypsum board finish (for 2x6, add 1 psf to all values)

-With 7/8-inch portland cement stucco siding

Total weight on exterior perimeter: 8866lbs

To be highly conservative I was assuming all of the weight is on those 12 points that I counted, that comes out to be 739lbs/point. Thus why I share your concern over the current extensions from the frame.
