I would still consider going with a lot of cats...they keep the mice down and they give off heat...plus you can talk to them if you like.

I don't like having large propane tanks sitting around the shop so I go electric. 1500W Warmwave ceramic. Only downside is the safety switch that triggers when you pick it up. Then you have to reset it. Boo for safety.
