Since you use the Berkey for all your water needs spotted, how often do you have to replace the filters?
I replaced the filters for the first time last year. I've had the berkey for 6 years. I actually have two. Each element is good or 3000 gallons. That is a lot of water. I have four elements. The Berkey is definitely one of the best investments I've ever made.

I do. I can tell when they need to be scrubbed because they filter more slowly.

Groin, you still use yours for drinking water on the counter?

We just got a set of the Berkey Sport bottles...they have the black filters in them, they are attached to the drinking straw...can barely suck water through them....they came with not literature...must have to prime them?
