Winter pretty well shut everything down project wise due to the weather, but since it's getting a bit warmer, and the sun is finally making regular appearances again it's time to get the garden going! We have several areas for running gardens, but I decided to start with the one that needed the most work first. This area is down the hill from the house, kind of near the horse barn, and where my sister had her yurt set up.

A few pics... This is the view looking back towards the road

A view of all the raised beds in there now. Most of these need a bit of repair, and eventually I will want to replace them entirely, but for this year were gonna just patch 'em up and work with them. I plan on adding a second row of raised beds (probably only one 6 or 8 inch board high) just to the left, all the way down the row.

A view behind the shed, where most of the work needed to be done. As you can see it's a total mess and hasn't even been usable for years. That ends NOW!

This is what most of that mess looks like. These things are brutal man, and they are everywhere out here.

Make sure you stock up on some band aids before going at that sticker patch. How do you plan on clearing it? Shovel and machete?
