Hi everyone,

My wife and I just bought 10 acres of land in Vermont, our goal is to live off the land the best we can. I'll be reading up on the topics and asking a lot of questions I'm sure. Cant wait to start breaking ground with projects I want to start, Winter is almost here so 'll have a good few months to learn from you guys and prepare myself for the spring!

Thanks

Welcome @vtdazed , Vermont has some beautiful areas. Sometimes I wish we had settled there instead of Maine.

Only pointer would be to spend some serious time planning out your goals, we kind of started with our house and then added as we went along, looking back there are some changes I would have made, biggest would have been making the pond smaller, it takes about a lot of the yard.

But we are happy with how things turned out overall.

Beautiful property.

Thank You.

We have been sorting through ideas and trying to figure out our best layout, We have all winter to mess around with that. I am trying to figure out how to get rid of these.....thumbnail_WP_20161119_14_55_50_Pro.jpgthumbnail_WP_20161119_14_55_54_Pro.jpg

I have been hitting them with round up, pulling them out, poured gas on them.....I just can't seem to get rid of these weeds any pointers?

I hit mine with Weed-B-Gone.  Seems to work until the following spring.
