Hey y'all. Yep another newbie here. LOL Looking to make a life change. Do not let my name fool you. I am by no means Off Grid or completely a homesteader yet. I am in the learning process on both and looking to add bit by bit as I learn. The end goal is to earn my name.
We recently moved to a larger rental property. Trust me I hate putting in all this time and work on someones property that is not my own. But if I do not do it now how will I learn from my mistakes?
So why am I here at The Homesteading Boards? Simple, it was one of the top forums that showed up in a Google search for "Homestead Forums". It was not the first but it was the one I decided to try. I am here to learn, apply what I learn and share my experiences as I do so.
Anything else, please feel free to ask. I do not bite......well.....Not true.

Goal 1 Winter garden... check
Goal 2 Chicken coop and run built......not so much
Goal 3 Build raised bed garden for spring...... yea its still a thought
Goal 4 Rabbit Hutch and run...... Still looking into
Goal 5 Start implementing some solar power.... Still looking into
These are my by the end of 2017 Goals. Plan on continuing to learn and try new things like permaculture (SP), aquaponics , blacksmith and trapping.
5-10 year goal to be out of this dang city and go out on a bigger scale.

Rabbits are easy and i love the fertilizer.
dont over think the caging and i have a great book on raised beds and square foot gardening by mel bartholomew you should be able to pick up cheap.
Im starting to get into aeroponics and hydroponics for my basement so i can have fresh year round veggies.
I also want to do some small scale blacksmithing i was scheduled for a class and had to miss it for work 🙁
