So even though the rain continues things are growing in our square foot garden. I didn’t know we had a monsoon season here in Maine! We should have a good blackberry crop this year though.

we will get some cherries this year

Image

a couple of the apple trees are producing well

Image

my wife harvested some strawberries the other day

Image

so I sliced them up and threw them on the dehydrator

Image

the next morning they were done

Image

the blueberries are looking good

Image

the grapes were budding, I need to secure them a little higher this year

Image

the radish was sprouting good

Image

the horseradish I had planted last week was breaking through already

Image

I need to thin out the cukes

Image

zucchini is doing real well

Image

cauliflower not so well

Image

Something had been digging the beans but have since left them alone

Image

the garlic is sprouting

Image

the onion sets took right off

Image

I got away from the three sisters method this year and went with just straight corn in the beds

Image

can’t wait for the watermelon

Image

the pumpkins are doing okay as well

Image

the squash is working well in the planters

Image

the potatoes were in need of another stack

Image

so I threw some on

Image

and used some of the composted mulch to dress around the plants

I need some sun

  1. Looks awesome man. I’m about at the same stage, but the damn slugs are destroying all the new stuff. I’ve tried most non-chemical methods, but next stop is a box of Slugg-o.

    Good luck harvesting!
