Ramen noodles are a staple for many Americans and have been as long as they’ve been on the market. College kids, young families and people on fixed incomes depend on the inexpensive meals to fill their pantries. Unfortunately what makes them cheap also makes them very unhealthy.

High in salt content, MSG and unrecognizable bits of vegetables makes ramen less than ideal for a nutritious meal. Luckily there are DIY ramen noodles recipes available that you can create that are slightly more expensive but much healthier for you. Here is a sample of what you can make.
