Sure is much cheaper than a purchased compost bin, it's easy to work with, raccoon proof, etc.

Check out this guys island he made out of plastic bottles (linked from the same bucket website). It is amazing. I can't listen to the video with sound so I don't know if the "island" itself is dirt or what.
