that's it, use a 1 to 1 ratio for greek yogurt to self rising flour

so I dumped the yogurt into a mixing bowl

since it's one to one, I just filled up the yogurt container with flour

and dumped it into the yogurt and started mixing with a spoon

once it was mixed, I started working on with my hands, at this point the dough is really sticky

just sprinkle little flour on top and keep working the dough

keep doing this over and over, knead, sticky, little flour, knead, stcky, little flour, etc until the dough is slightly tacky but no longer sticks to your hands

flour up a cutting board and dump the dough out

I cut the dough in half, and then one half into quarters

the full half goes into a greased bread pan and goes into the oven at 400 degrees for about 20 minutes or till golden brown

the quarters go into containers and then the freezer, these will be used for future projects (or just bake another loaf if you want)

when it's done pull it out of the oven

dump it on a cooling rack, check the bottom for golden brown

this is a thick bread with a slight sour due to the yogurt, but I love it

Oh wow, that's awesome! I gotta try that. Not a big fan of yogurt but I do like sourdough so I def have to give this one a shot.

This went very well. Got two loaves on the cooling rack now, they smell great. I went ahead and cut in to one of the loaves, I could've left them in the oven for a minute or two longer, but they taste awesome. It does have a little bit of a sourdough flavor to them.

When I got the greek yogurt, I noticed there was a large tub of full flavored greek yogurt with honey on the shelf. I wonder if this would work as well as the plain does for this recipe?

nice, that sounds like a great experiment! I'm messing with a greek yogurt recipe now so I can make my own and not have to buy it, will let you know how it goes
