Here are some basics I followed to set up an NFA trust for purchasing a suppressor. The website linked to below focuses more on SBR's but the same trust can be used for suppressors, automatic weapons, SBS's, etc.
1) Purchase Quicken Willmaker 2008

2) Follow this tutorial... the section's "Trust Example" and "Making the Husband & Wife Revocable Living Trust" are the most important to follow.

3) Get the appropriate forms notarized. If it is a husband and wife trust you will need both signatures notarized.
4) Double and triple check. Mail in to the NFA and enjoy the 6 month wait!

No worries. If bans are ever in place for the sale or transfer of a specific class of weapon, for example semi-auto rifles, create a trust and you can pass them down to family members. Or, create LLC's and transfer the rifles to the LLC. You could sell the "company" without transferring the assets. YMMV as I am not an attorney.

We formed an LLC and the only yearly fee, for our state, is $25 to maintain the legal entity. Since we don't operate the LLC as an actual business (e.g. no income, etc.) you don't have to file taxes on it. YMMV and I am not an attorney, but this is from my research. We are going on 3 years now.
