Something like this would really put wind power in reach of a lot of people.  I would never have a 100 ft tower on my property, but I think I could make friends with a grove of these.  

These would probably cut down on the number of endangered bird strikes, too.

Very cool. It is similar to the tree type of solar that the kid was designing.

agreed, but it seems to me the locations where they would be most useful, would be the worse location to put them due to surrounding buildings blocking the wind
