I've seen micro hydro once before and it was a really cool thing. You should totally give this a shot.

Ain't nothing wrong with that, no need for two people to make the same mistakes.

I'll see if I have pictures of the little dam the guy built for his micro hydro setup. He eventually poured concrete go get the height/flow restriction he needed as his other barriers kept washing away when flow was really heavy.
