I have always been against them from a sustainability standpoint, but man, walking by those bags of pellets at wal-mart is making me jealous.

I agree on both counts.  I guy I work with was just "gifted" one by someone that's moving and cant fit it in their new house.  Cant beat free!

1 ton of wood pellets = 119 gallons of heating oil

1 ton of wood pellets = 170 gallons of propane

My question is what is the cost of the production and shipping is the pellets? Are they produced on China and shipped here? I don't even know how they make them

we have a production company 15 minutes from us, so it is a locally produced product, you can get make your own though

I kind of like the idea of a corn stove more, grow your own fuel on a acre of corn
