After you make your cuts in the wood with the chainsaw, you stuff kindling, paper, leaves, or whatever down the grooves and the stump turns into a flat surface cooking stove.

I saw that on Pinterest. Pretty cool. I would just be scared it would fall apart after a while. Which means we can all now start thinking of ways to modify that to make it work longer

My hero, Mr Ray Mears demonstrated this in one of his programs. From what I gathered from that episode, you don't have to split the log the entire length if you use a saw, but if you have to use an axe and can't avoid splitting the entire length you can keep the oven together by burying the base in the snow (or ground).
