I haven't read it, but if it's from MEN I would trust it, I think this is a excellent way for people to start lowering their impact, carbon footprint, bills, whatever you want to call it, we look for ways to decrease our usage all the time. Something happened to our fridge where it wasn't defrosting and would keep overheating, I was going to call a friend who does refrigeration to look at it, my wife response, let's just get a new one, we don't need one that big anyways. Now the one we had was only 12 cuft

the new one is only 4.5 cuft

the kicker is this is the one I wanted in the first place when we moved in! lol

I wanna check that book out.

Besides our solar setup a few things we have done are

Switched to LED bulbs

Occupancy switch in the bathroom

Surge protectors that stop vampire usage

auto dimming flood lights outside

new windows

more insulation in attic

added a solar attic fan

we do pretty good with our electric bill compared to our other neighbors. Like you, we've replaced all the windows and doors in our house. Upgraded to LED bulbs. Bought more efficient water heater and CHA unit. Insulated our attic space. It saves us a lot per month.
