Often you will see these insane trucks and such that people see value in as a BO vehicle. But imagine the stress a vehicle can cause in normal conditions? The fuel costs, the repairs, etc...

With a bicycle you have no fuel costs. You repairs, for the most part, would be minimal. You could carry a lifetime supply of parts for it (chains, screws, pedals, brakes). It would take up little space and you wouldnt have to replace much of it most likely.

The Surly Pugsley comes to mind. Its a beast of a bike that handle really rough terrain and keep on trucking along.
