Peg Perego Polaris Trail Boss. Max 130 lbs, 2 wheel drive, and 12V. I think I might add in a second 12V battery in parallel for more power. If I get really bored I might make a small PV roof, like a golf carts roof, and have it charge itself while it is parked outside. For now since our home is all solar I consider this solar powered too :)

If it struggles on grass (which I don't think it will) I can replace the wheels with rubber ones. There are whole forums dedicated to modding these things.

Pork, that's awesome. I had no idea people modded these. My son has a Peg Perego John Deere tractor. I may have to follow your lead and get the thing tricked out!

There are some really easy mods out there. For example, string in a 6V battery in with your 12V battery and now you have 18V. Your power wheels will run much faster (use up more battery too) without any other mods, usually. You have to be careful about bumping up the power too much, say to 24V, because gearboxes and other parts will wear out really fast.

I am definitely going to make a little cart or devise a way to hook up our Gorilla cart to this thing. I need to put that guy to work moving brush around!

Picked it up last night -- awesome. I am trying to keep it a surprise so I had a friends 8 year old son drive it around. He is ~70 lbs or less I think. Rode nice in 1st gear -- slow, but nice. 2nd gear had some more umph -- 5 mph. I can see this getting a much larger 12V lawn tractor battery or some such as soon as this one goes out, which will hopefully be a little while because it has a brand new battery per the seller.

I am kind of pissed a little that they didn't have stuff like this when I was a kid.
