- Use that money to build an affordable car
- Use that money to build an even more affordable car
- While doing above, also provide zero emission electric power generation options

Imo the subsidies or not even close to the handouts given to other car producers like Ford, Chevy etc. Those "American" car companies used the hand outs to move jobs overseas. Yet had no problem whining for more funds at every turn sine the 80's.
At least with Telsa there is some forward thinking technology at play and that really pisses off the BIG car producers who have done their best to make it darn near impossible for Telsa to have Nation wide dealers.
If they start making a full size pickup that only needs to go 40 miles a day and hauls some crap once in a while ... I'm getting one.
