I have a calculator somewhere where you can plug in your monthly kwh used from your electric bill and your zipcode and it will give you a rough estimate on how big a system you would need, we would need a 4.5 kw system for our current usage, we are waiting till out daughter moves out in several years, that should drop a lot

if i put one of those panels in my yard it would protest and ask for a short break in the shade every hour.

How long would it take to charge up a Deep Cycle 12v Yacht batter with a 20watt?

And, what could you use that battery for? What about a series of batteries?

general rule of thumb is it takes 15 watts to generate 1 amp/hour. So if you have a dead 100 amp/hour battery it would take 100 hours to charge it. A battery bank would be a series of batteries and would be ideal, you would have more capacity on hand
