Pretty crazy, but unfortunately not all that surprising. Some jurisdictions here have banned it until further study, but that is not going over well with the industry lobby groups.
The thing that scares me is that the industry has successfully argued that the fracking solution they use is proprietary, which means they do not have to disclose what chemicals they are blending and then injecting into the area. Hint, it ain't clean drinking water.
