We went camping with the Boy Scouts this past weekend.  One of the dads had this set up.  Was pretty neat, although I didn't realize it was this pricey.  I took some pictures, and if I can get off my lazy ass, I'll upload them.

I think so.  He had 8 panels on two tripods (4 each).  He said it would power up to a 1000w microwave.  He may not have had the exact set-up I linked, but pretty close.  My one complaint is that you need to adjust the panels as the sun moves.  Pretty interesting though, and great for camping, where generators are prohibited a lot of the time.

The generator/battery portion was a pretty sweet set up.  It measured wattage in, wattage out and % of capacity left.

poking around some, you can get the core for that for 1300

and get two 100 watt panels for under 300 bucks

looking at goal zeros site, I don't even see that kit listed

http://www.goalzero......heavy-duty

it appears the seller is just throwing the kit together, you could probably buy the components cheaper yourself directly from goal zero

That's probably what this guy did.  I just assumed (I know, I know . . .) that it was a pre-packaged set-up.  He had the core, two tripods, and 8 panels.
