I need to dust off my stuff. I have seen a very similar design but DIY using a PC fan, small battery, and some metal.

Yes. But it doesn't have a usb port on it. Basically the same type of design for the burner area - not a lot of frills, not a lot of insulation, no tripod - but it was double walled that had air ports to the inner chamber (I think, if I remember right) and the fan (9 - 12Vdc that ran off of your typical 9v battery) would blow into the inner chamber in the form of a vortex and created a forge like effect. It used stuff like twigs and leaves.
