Last winter and this winter we normally run the generator for a few hours every day that it isn't sunny. Now that the battery bank is fried we have been running it longer. It lasts for a few hours after being charged, depending on loads, even up to 12 hours but you can tell it just doesn't have the juice that is needed. Hopefully with the doubled battery bank I will only need to run the generator every other day.
We have a lot of phantom loads -- satellite internet, wifi router, computers, lights, etc.

Yes, for most of it. I turn off our satellite, router, and some other stuff at night. I have been leaving on the cell extender, cell home phone base station/cordless phone, and driveway alert on all the time.
I got the 8 new batteries. I hope to warranty exchange my other ones and now have a bank of 16 batteries.
