I had read somewhere that when sunlight gets less than 14 hours a day chickens slow down. Does adding a white light in the coop for a few hours in the morning help with egg production? anyone do this?

Also can confirm. My folks had chickens when I was growing up, and we always put a light out in the winter. It made a big difference.
