well we had a thaw last weekend, then the snow storm, suppose to be in the single digits tonight, so I made a shelter for them out of hay bales in case they want to nest somewhere, otherwise, I think I will be chipping them out of the ice in the morning

well they made it through the night, and they still have open water, not sure if they slept in the hut overnight or not

looks like the word has gotten around town, open water and food, our flock is growing again

it got down to the teens last night and they still have open water, this might just work out, look like the wild ones are helping out

Got down to 2 last night, their swimming hole was frozen over, but they survived, crazy birds, they aren't even sleeping in the hay hut

can't believe how warm it is; the ducks have been pretty lucky this winter, a lot of the snow is gone and they have been foraging in the yard
they even found a frog and were fighting over it, a frog in December, crazy
