I think I lost a duck, they have been acting weird all day, I came outside and they were sitting right in front of the door, it's been so cold today, I have had to clear their swimming hole 4 times today of ice, went and checked it and it was fine, so I gave them some bread and they all flew down to the pond, it was getting dark and they totally over flew it, 3 came back around, one crashed into the pond, two into the gazebo, I heard two crash into the woods and another skidded along the pond 5 minutes later, I got the two rescued from the woods, but I'm still missing one, kind of bummed, even though I've been wanting them to fly south all fall and winter

the ducks flew away, there are only 2 left, wonder how long these ones are going to stay

What were they? Were they Mallards you bought then let go free? Id like to do that. I need a pond!! LOL

Yes, we bought 8 this year since the 3 last year flew away, these one's didn't fly away quite as quick, we did have one couple fly back today, I think they are hanging out down in the river, hopefully they have printed on the property and will raise some babies this spring
two of ours from the year before did come back for about a month though
as did every other duck in a 10 mile radius
