Duke, it sounds like a good idea. How will you treat the animals if they get sick? What will you use to worm them? Is there natural things they can be treated with? I'd be interested in some goat meat, myself.

Depends on what they get sick from. If it's something that warrants antibiotics, I will treat with those but they won't be given them as a preventative measure, or at all unless needed. As for de-worming, I have to look into the different options available, but I will likely use whatever means is the least invasive/toxic. Once things get up and running I will update this thread with the play by play so anyone who is interested can follow the progress play by play.

They will be 100% natural. I have been treating all health issues, human and animal naturally for more than 25 years.

I use diatomaceous earth as a worm preventative. It works very well

Spotted Horse, it sounds great to me. I'd surely be interested in some goat meat. Pleased to meet you.

sounds great but you guys are too far away to make it reasonable for me out here. we have a local source of grass fed buffalo. not sure of their vet practices (been getting portions of the orders my buddy buys from them so I have never actually talked to the ranchers). the meat is great!
