I believe in sharing our bounty with the animals around us, it's cools seeing the ducks and birds and such in the yard. But these little devils are pushing it, they take one bite out of the biggest strawberries and then move on to the next one

so I was weeding around the berm yesterday and heard some chirping behind me, I turned around and there he was, taunting me

He took off running when I approached him, so I walked up onto the porch and told my wife and just at that moment, I heard some chirping behind me. I turned around and there he was sitting by my dads deck

Get a bucket of water, put sunflower seeds or some other bait on a wooden plank that leads to the top of the bucket. Have more seeds floating at the top of the bucket. Put some crisco on the edges of the bucket and they will fall in and drown. My friend tried this and it didn't work till he added the Crisco, lol.

I don't mind killing animals but I'm not a big fan of drowning them. If they're wiping out your berries though you may want to consider it.

after my wife saw the little critter, she decided to keep him, so now I get to build a feeder for him to keep him away from the berry patch, awesome

Just wait a few seasons for them to multiply and start invading the pantry. The your wife will be on your bumper to get rid of the things lol.

Seriously tho, they are rodents, even tho they look all cute or whatever that thing is just this side of being a mouse. If you want something seriously badass, get yourself one of these.

My uncle had two I can remember from my childhood. One was named Blackjack and he had to have been like 20 pounds or so. the other one was named Crash and I distinctly recall him beating the snot out of their curious German Shepherd. Crash had the sort of attitude that it was his house, everyone else was just living there. Guaranteed to solve your chipmunk problem and deter / sort out any future rodent issues you could potentially have. Not to mention they are your state cat.
