I want to start giving the chickens some more space and maybe do a rotational paddock shift. Whats the most cost effective way? I can find 164 ft of poultry mesh for around $165, but then there's the charger which is an additional cost. I would prefer solar but that's more expensive than a regular AC charger. Any one have any experience/opinion on what works and what doesnt?
Thanks.
I have not used it, but have heard good things about it, Groin, if you followed my issues with the pigs this year, you can see we ended up upgrading from gallagher solar the s-17 charger we had, I have it sitting here in a box if you want it, you might need to get a new battery for it, but it worked great for 3 years with the pigs, let me know

Hey man, Thanks! I was able to locate a place to get a replacement battery for the solar s17.
what can I give you for the charger? Im probably going to build a pallet coop for the winter and I want to get a run fenced in with the electric mesh. Let me know what would work for you.

I saw some of this electric mesh on CL when I was building my coop. I waiting a few days to call the person and it had already sold. I was bummed and now looking back I should have bought the mesh new. Our old dog would have kept away from the chickens, I think, and the chickens would have learned to stay in the fenced in area. I think it would be a great addition, GK.
