My new milk cow came with a calf on her side. The calfs old enough to wean but I only have one field fenced in so far. How in the world do I separate the calf so we can get some milk?

I don't think that's what she was asking sim,

your only option would be to buy or build a calf hutch to separate them, could do one really cheap with pallets and some tin roof scraps

lol...Eating her now is a waste of a potential brood cow for breeding more beef calves! Out of all my cows that calf has the most beef stock in her. I'd like to raise her up then breed her to a beef bull, then her calves will be good freezer beef.
