So I set my game camera up at a good spot that I found and caught a few deer on it. I also caught a pic of a large cat moving through the area quickly. I have a 10 second delay on my camera and only got the one picture of him. The pic is bad because its a pic I took with my phone of the actual pic on my computer screen. When I get a chance I will upload the actual pic. SO, the question is, is this a bobcat or a lynx? Its hard to guage the size of it but its a good sized cat. It looks more muscular than a bobcat which is why I'm leaning towards a lynx but they arent supposed to be this far down into New England, mostly just mid/northern Maine and above. Notice the white tips on the ears. I also think its a lynx because it appears headed right down to where a feeding spot is for the deer I'm after. A Small doe and her yearling have been hanging out there and I think the cat is after the yearling.

THAT^ pic of a bobcat looks just like it and thats what I thought at first too. Most bobcat pics I've seen had lots of very visible spots so thats what got me thinking it could be a lynx. The one above looks identical as far as coat goes so now I think its probably a bobcat.

Looks like a bob cat to me. I've seen quite a few of them around here. They are so beautiful!

You monster! I dont think i could ever shoot a predator animal. Deer are like seagulls so that doesnt bother me but cats, bears, wolves, etc are off limits to me.
