I was reading about lambs and people were complaining that if one sheep gets out they all get out. I guess because they keep together as a flock? They also mentioned being very susceptible to predators, more so than cows or goats.

My wife and I have narrowed our focus to lambs to provide the majority of our meat. We adore the meat (Both for taste and nutrition). Sheep also have the added benefit of also providing milk and or wool. I also like the smaller land space requirements vs cows (For a small herd), the faster birth to slaughter rate and also easier to butcher them yourself.

We will supplement our meat supply with pork (Raised ourselves), chicken (Raised ourselves), beef (Purchase/trade) and fish (Wild caught).
