I was letting out the dogs last night and heard a coyote howling, if I was out in the woods, no big deal, but this was right in town. My wife has said she has seen things moving out in the woods, not really worried about it right now, might become a concern when we get the pigs this spring, I would imagine coyotes would just hop right over the electric tape. Any suggestions

wolves apparently make great pets. I think they might even drive away coyotes

But seriously I dont know what to do. We had one in the yard last winter bedded down under one of the pines, but havent seen any since.

Any Coywolf in your area? They are really moving down and east as well as west from north eastern Canada.

A study showed that of 100 coyotes collected in Maine, 22 had half or more grey wolf ancestry, and one was 89 percent grey wolf. A theory has been proposed that the large eastern "coyotes" in Canada are actually hybrids of the smaller western coyotes and grey wolves that met and mated decades ago as the coyotes moved toward New England from their earlier western ranges.[4]

Coywolves have the wolf characteristics of pack hunting and aggression and the coyote characteristic of lack of fear of human-developed areas. They seem to be bolder and more intelligent than regular coyotes

it begins...
