I heard a couple of interviews with guys who do this. It sounds awesome, but it's a lot of work.

Some points I remember are you have apprentice for a year, catch and train your own bird and build it it's own house (or room). How cool would it be to have your own hawk or falcon to go nail rabbits for you though!

it's a toss up between that and where the red fern grows for me as my favorite as a kid
