we own a copy, they made a red fern 2 also. think we have a copy of that somewhere also. my favorite book as a kid. my favorite movie was Old Yeller.

I still need to read the complete hatchet series, actually that's a good idea for a blog post, books for kids, i'll have to think of some others, a place in the woods by helen hoover stands out as well, all her books were in the readers digest condensed books dad always had, speaking of that, do you remember those camping books we got as kids for x-mas, some reason I remember them having a bright orange cover

you even remember what I'm talking about, it was the first time I saw the steel wool/battery fire starter and spent many a afternoon playing with the drycell batteries from the flashlights, Grandpa C got them for us, I would have been around 10 and you 12, or is this just a bad flashback?
